La Yara (Leyendas de la Selva del Perú)

La yara es otro personaje femenino que mora en las profundidades de nuestros ríos y lagos de la selva.

Se la describe también como una bella mujer, de formas perfectas, cabellos blondos, ojos azules, piel de nácar y extremadamente suave y cariñosa.
Para atraer a los hombres de su preferencia se vale de sus encanatos de mujer y de su refinado sentimentalismo, posee el don de la transmutación o transformación.

Algunas madres y ancianitas rezan para que sus hijos no caigan en los encantos de esa demonia que atrae a los hombre y luego se los lleva al río.

Zombie - Shipiba en las Tinieblas

Ahora que esta tan de moda los "No muertos" y que franquicias tan grandes e importantes hacen sus versiones tales como Call of Duty: Black Ops, Red Dead Redemption , Resident Evil, etc, etc, yo tuve esta idea tonta de imaginarme un guion o una pelicula o un video juego ambientado en la selva, espero de corazón que nadie se sienta ofendido con esta imagen, yo amo mi cultura y para nada me gustaria que se me mal interpretara porfavor!!! repito amo mi cultura, esta imagen es solo una de mis expresiones e interpretaciones.

Árbol La Lupuna en Pucallpa "Feliz Navidad"

El poderoso arbol de Lupuna (Ceiba Pentandra) ocupa una posición muy importante en el ecosistema de la selva Amazónica.

Provee albergue y alimentación a muchas variedades de fauna Amazónica: insectos, anfibios, aves (tucán, por ejemplo), mon ...os, etc., así como a ejemplares menores de flora Amazónica que dependen de luz solar para su sobrevivencia.

Ejemplar de la capa emergente que se alza por encima de la canopla de la selva tropical, logrando crecer hasta cuatro metros (trece pies) por año.

Es el gigante de la selva Amazónica, pudiendo alcanzar hasta 70 metros (200 pies) de altura y un diámetro de mas de 1 metro.
