Chacarero Monumento en Pucallpa

Está ubicado en el Km. 5 de la carretera Federico Basadre, inaugurado el 24 de junio de 1994. Se edifico en honor al hombre chacarero. El chacarero vive siempre a las orillas de los ríos de nuestra amazonía o alto o bajo Ucayali, construye su vivienda con materiales del lugar como hojas de shebón o shapaja para el techo, horcones de madera dura para el piso y paredes. Normalmente esta a un metro de altura, todo amarrado y bien asegurado con soga de monte llamado támbishi. Cada día muy temprano el chacarero toma su desayuno, luego coge su costal donde coloca sus alimentos para su jornada diaria, también lleva herramientas como hacha, machete y un gancho de madera. Su chacra no dista mucho de su casa, cultiva su platanal, maíz, frejol. A la 1 pm. el chacarero toma su refrigerio y continua su trabajo hasta las 4 pm., hora de retornar a su hogar donde lo esperan sus hijos y esposa. Al llegar a casa, coge un pate o tazón, jabón, anzuelo y carnada, se dirige a la cocha o río donde tiene su canoa, mientras se baña pesca hermosos bagres o lizas que le serviran para el desayuno del día siguiente. Esta es la vida del chacarero a grandes rasgos. El chacarero de hoy necesita de mucho apoyo para subsistir, porque el bosque se encuentra cada día más depredado y esto hace más difícil la vida del chacarero actual.
